Selection Process
Recruitment examination stages
- 1Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Objective - Paper 1 GS & Paper 2 CSAT, 400 Marks)
- 2Stage 2: Main Written Examination (Descriptive - 8 Papers, 1500 Marks)
- 3Stage 3: Personality Test / Viva-Voce (100 Marks)
- 4Stage 4: Final Selection from Mains (1500M) + Interview (100M) = 1600 Marks
- Prelims Paper 1: General Studies-I (150 Questions, 200 Marks, 2 Hours)
- Prelims Paper 2: General Studies-II / CSAT (100 Questions, 200 Marks, Qualifying 33%)
- Negative Marking in Prelims: 1/3rd (0.33) marks deducted per wrong answer
- Mains: General Hindi (150M), Essay (150M), GS-I to GS-IV (200M each), UP Specific GS-V & GS-VI (200M each)
