Selection Process

Recruitment examination stages

1Stage 1: Shortlisting of Applications based on normalized marks in Qualifying Degree (B.E./B.Tech/Post Graduation)
2Stage 2: Services Selection Board (SSB Interview - Stage I Intelligence/PPDT & Stage II Psychological/GTO/Conference, 5 Days)
3Stage 3: Special Medical Board (SMB) Examination at designated Naval Hospitals
4Stage 4: Final Merit List based on SSB Marks subject to Medical Fitness

Scheme / Pattern of Examination

No written exam is conducted by Indian Navy for SSC Officer entry
Shortlisting for SSB is based strictly on qualifying degree percentage/normalized cut-off
SSB Testing: Stage I (Day 1 - Screening) and Stage II (Days 2 to 5 - Psychological, Group Task & Personal Interview)

Merit list will be prepared based on marks secured in competitive stages as per guidelines.
